Here at The Showstoppers Studio we pride ourselves on knowing that ALL of our wonderful instructors are highly qualified professionals in their specified instructional areas.
Currently we employ 10 amazing instructors in different fields of dance and baton.
There are 4 full time baton instructors, and 2 part time baton instructors. On occasion we also bring in 2 traveling baton instructors, one from Cincinnati, Ohio and one from Tallahassee, Flordia.

Audrey Moore
Audrey has been the director of the Showstoppers Dance and Twirl Teams since their creation in 1980.
Prior to establishing her own group she was a member of the Stars and Stripes and then its instructor. She also was also the instructor of the Elite Twirling Academy in the late 1970's.
The Showstoppers Dance and Twirl Teams spent most of their time practicing in rented gyms and in the street in front of Audrey's home. Then in 2004, the old Stanford-Foster building in Wickliffe, Ohio was established as The Showstoppers School of Baton and Dance.
It is here that children from all over Ohio come to learn and take classes in baton, ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, yoga, and cheerleading.
Audrey has been involoved in baton twirling since the age of 13, first as a competitor, then as a teacher and judge. As a competitor she won the title of WTA Senior World Most Beauriful Majorette 1969. As a teacher she has watched as her students have taken home numerous nationals titles (see title holder page). Audrey is a Gold Seal Judge for DMA, as well as a judge for, WTA, AAU, and TwirlMania.
She is a 1969 graduate of Wickliffe High School where she was head majorette and a softball player. Audrey and her husband Tim have two daughters, Leigh-ann and Melissa, and have two grandchildren, Erienne and Ethan.
Kristin Fitz-Smith
Kristin began twirling with Audrey at the age of nine and was a member of the Showstoppers from 1983 to 1989.
During her competitive years she earned two WTA Intermediate Titles and the 1991 Miss College Majorette Title.
Outsite of competition, she was honored to be Wickliffe High School's first ever Featured Twirler. She also twirled with the Ohio Northern University Marching Band from 1990 to 1994.
She began teaching baton at the age of 15. Prior to her merge with the Showstoppers, she was the coach and director of the State and National Champion Baton Twirling Team, the Enchanters.
Kristin is certified to teach grades K through 8 and Reading K through 12. She is employed by the Bedford City School District as a 5th Grade Teacher. She met her husband, Shawn, while teaching in Bedford Hights. She is currently a stay at home Mom with her son, Landon and daughter Morgan.
Leigh-ann Hay (Moore)

Has been twirling baton since she was 5 years old, and has been an instructor with the Showstoppers for 10 years.
Leigh-ann retired from competion in 2003, with the conclusion of her reign as Majorette Queen of America 2003. Some of her other major titles inculed WTA Senior World Majorette Festival Queen 1997, AAU 2 and 3 Baton Junior Olympic Gold Medalist, and Joel Farrell Award Winner.
Leigh-ann is 1998 Graduate of Lake Catholic High School, where she was Feature Twirler and a 2003 graduate of Bowling Green State University where she majored in secondary education. Leigh-ann and her husband Ron are recently married and have 2 children Erienne and Ethan.
Leigh-ann is a licensed judge for WTA and is a Gold Seal judge for DMA. She also judges for AAU and TU. She is currently in the process of obtaining her NBTA judges license.
Melissa Moore

Melissa has been twirling since the age of 4. She has been an instructor for the Showstoppers for 6 years.
Melissa retired from individual competion in 2001 at the age of 17. By that time she had already won WTA Senior World Majorette Festival Queen (1999) became the first ever Gold Medalist in Senior Womens Solo-1 Baton for the AAU Junior Olympics and concluded her reign as Majorette Queen of America 2001.
Melissa is a 2001 graduate of Wickliffe High School, where she was a majorette, cheerleader and varsity softball player. She accepted the feature twirler position and a full ride scholarship to the University of Hawaii, but due to unforseen complications was not able to attend. She recieved an Associates Degree from Lakeland Community College, and has since moved to Cincinnati to continue her educational training is the medical field.
Melissa has recently obtained her Gold Seal judges license for DMA
Heather Fitz-Davis
Heather Fitz-Davis is a Showstopper alumni. She helped the Showstoppers bring home many years of state, regional, and national titles in both team and individual competition. She held the title of WTA Senior World Majorette Festival Queen 1992, as well as Miss High School and Miss College.
Heather, a 1993 graduate of Wickliffe High School, where she was the feature twirler for the Blue Devils Swing Band. She was also a feature twirler for Ohio Northern University. Heather, a 1997 graduate of ONU, holds a BA in education.
She has been couching recreational and competitive twirling for over fifteen years.
Heather resides in Wadsworth with her husband, Andy, and their daughter, Michaela Violet.
Kristy Morris
Kristy started twriling at the age of 4 in her towns local parade group. She began twirling with the Showstoppers at the age of 9, and competed with the Showstoppers until retiring at the age of 18.
During her years of competitive baton twirling, Kristy was honored with numerous awards including, Jr. Miss DMA Halftime, DMA Miss Pom Girl, as well as an individial Gold Medal as the AAU Junior Olympics Games in Virgina Beach.
Kristy became a Student Instructor for the Showstoppers at the age of 14, teaching the beginner classes and parade groups. From there she moved on to coaching her first recreational team. Kristy also took on some private students in pom and cheer as well as baton.
Upon graduating from Chardon High School in 2004 she attended Bowling Green State University for 3 semesters. Since returning home with her fiance, Eric and their young son Zachary, Kristy is now back on staff with the studio. Kristy is currently not only the Showstoppers Office Manager, but a competitive team coach, and prive instructor. Kristy is currently in the process of obtaining her DMA judges license.
